    Hello and welcome to third grade music with Dr. Riso.  In third grade we will continue learning vocal technique, and playing Orff instruments.We will be learning, performing and listening to music from other cultures in order to broaden our musical experiences to new sounds and instruments. We will be performing a Heritage Day Concert as well as a Spring Musical.   The Spring Musical will involve singing, dancing, speaking parts, and dressing in costumes. Heritage day will involve the same as well as singing in different languages and performing music from other cultures. Throughout the year you will be receiving information about our performances and you can always refer to the webpage for immediate information.*Please keep a music folder at home for all song lyrics, speaking parts, and concert notices for you and your child to refer to.  You can refer to this web page for any questions you may have or you can email me directly at criso@holmdelschools.org.

    Third Grade Heritage Day 2009-10

Costumes: Please dress in the clothing that best represents your own heritage. It is not necessary for each student to dress alike. You may also make the flag of your country and attach it to a white tee shirt if you like. There is a flag chart at the end of this page you can refer to.  Be creative and have fun!
