This month we will be focusing on poetry, and how it is approached and read differently than fiction or nonfiction stories. We're learning to ask questions before we read to set a purpose for reading, and how poetry has different features than traditional text. We're also learning how memorizing a poem can help us with our writing and information gathering skills.
