BLOOD DRIVE
On Thursday, February 16th, from 7:30 - 2:00 PM, the HTEA and the Central Jersey Blood Center will be sponsoring the annual blood drive in the New Gym. The Center is always in desperate need of donations and they are grateful for the kindness of all donors. Students aged 16 and over were strongly encouraged to donate and the staff is equally encouraged. Anyone wishing to donate can see Mr. Dowd in Room 146 for the permission slips (students) or any information regarding the drive. Thank you in advance for your support!

Band Aid for Uganda
The 3rd Annual “Band Aid for Uganda”, benefitting Sylvia’s Children, will be held on Saturday, March 24th @ 12:00 pm. Bands interested in participating should sign up in the Main Office.

Attention Science Leaguers!
New Jersey Science League February Meet:
· The February meet for the New Jersey Science League will be held at Colt’s Neck HS on Thursday, February 9th, 2012 from 2:45 to 5:00 pm.
· Test offs will be on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012, at 2:45pm in Dr. Blaha’s classroom, 702.
· Practice tests will be available in “Google Docs.” If you have signed up for the January test off, you are automatically given permission to access the February practice tests. If you are new to the test off please email me so I can email you the link with the permission.
Note: Change in Physics and Biology Olympiad First Exams
The first round of the Biology Olympiad will be held on Wednesday February 15th, 2012. While in general you must be in AP Physics or AP Biology to participate, first-year science students may participate if there is room. Please email Dr. Blaha with your intent, and for practice Biology Olympiad tests. Go to http://aapt.org/physicsteam/2012/exams.cfm to download the practice exams for Physics.
Music Department
The Concert Chorus will be sponsoring a Broadway Dinner Theatre on Thursday, February 16 at 6:00 PM in the Commons. A pasta dinner will be served and a cabaret of different Broadway shows will be presented. Tickets are $5.00 for students and $10.00 for adults and will be available all this week during lunch periods. Tickets must be purchased in advanced.
