Coupons
A coupon is a certificate that entitles the bearer to a discount on a product or service. The past few years have seen a boom in the availability and use of coupons, with the growth of coupon web sites and the difficulties of the economy.
It is very important to pay attention to the specific words on a coupon. While images might be beneficial, the words are what give (or take) the discount.
Some key features of coupons that you should always make note of:
The expiration date: Coupons tend to be "time sensitive" - they must be used by a certain date, and usually won't be honored after that date has passed.
Terms or conditions: sometimes the coupon only applies to a very specific size or amount of a product or a very specific level of service. Other times, the coupon will specify that multiple items need to be purchased before the coupon will take effect.
