Transcripts
A transcript is a word-for-word written account of something spoken. Many TV shows offer to sell people copies of transcripts of episodes of the show. If the show has offered an interview with a well-known celebrity, or recipes people might like to use, transcripts can be very useful.
Courtrooms also have people called "stenographers" who take transcripts of who says what as a way of keeping evidence.
Transcripts usually show the person's name, then what they said.
MR. TETREAULT: I know I told you to study every night for five to ten minutes.
STUDENT: Yes, but I had to feed my goldfish all week.
