Podcasting
The Steps of Creating a Podcast using Audacity
A podcast is a pre-recorded audio or video production intended for distribution through the internet, specifically by having the audience listen to the piece online or download the piece to an MP3 player.
To create a successful podcast, you need to figure out what your time limit is, figure out what topic you'll discuss, come up with a script that covers your main points, and practice your presentation.
It's a good idea to record a "first draft" and listen to it. The first time you listen to yourself, you will think you don't actually sound like that (but you really do). Listen to your podcast a few times to get used to the sound of your voice, then take notes on what you need to work on to make your podcast more interesting, entertaining, and/or informative. It might also be a good idea to get some feedback from friends (who are used to the sound of your voice already) on what you need to improve.
The great thing about podcasting is that you can re-record your presentation as many times as you need to until you get it just the way you want it.
You can also use audio or video editing software to edit your podcast. This allows you to cut out bad pieces and stitch the good parts together. If you are doing a video podcast, you can also add images, titles, and other visuals to your podcast to improve the quality of your work.
