Titles:
o Titles of long works (books, movies, TV series) get Underlined
o Titles of short works (short stories, TV episodes, song titles) get “Quotation Marks”
o Titles for fiction are very different than titles for non-fiction
o Fiction titles, as a rule of thumb, are short; they refer to the topic of the writing, but they do not give away what happens in the story.
o Nonfiction titles, as a rule of thumb, can be longer; they include the topic of the writing, and they summarize the main point of the writing.
o Titles for nonfiction pieces such as a memoir (also called a "personal narrative") or a reflective writing piece are often either short like fiction titles or are compound - a short title like a fiction story's followed by longer subtitle like a nonfiction piece.
