Prime Time - Before and After School Program

Prime Time is a Holmdel Board of Education sponsored, tuition-based before and after school program offered to students attending Village and Indian Hill Schools. The program is staffed by dedicated District employees whose main goals are to ensure the physical and emotional safety of the students enrolled, maintain a before and after school community where each student is valued, differences are celebrated, and to have fun!

Monthly Schedule

Students must be registered to participate in Prime Time.

Prime Time allows families to submit custom monthly schedules to fit their individual before and after school care needs.

Please submit completed schedules by the 20th of the month prior. For example, September 20th for October, October 20th for November. 

The credit/debit card we have on file will be charged.

Prime Time will operate every day school is in session.

AM Prime Time 

AM Prime Time is located at Village School for both Village and Indian Hill Schools.

7:00am-9:05am. 

AM Prime Time: enter through Door #29 and walk your child all the way inside and alert a staff member of their arrival.

**Indian Hill School students enrolled in AM Prime Time will be bused from Village School to Indian Hill School for on-time arrival. Please keep in mind that the bus will pick up between 8:05am and 8:15am.**

Breakfast and Snacks

 

**Breakfast and snacks must be nut-free. Several of our Prime Time friends have severe peanut/tree nut allergies.**

Cold cereal and milk is served between 7am and 8:15am at no extra charge. Feel free to send in a alternate choice.

Please send in an afternoon snack for PM Prime Time.

**If your child has a food allergy, please submit an "Allergy Action Plan". If an EpiPen is required, please provide one designated for Prime Time.**

Schedule Changes Student Absences

If your child is in school and scheduled to attend Prime Time  but will be going home by bus or parent p/u OR to make a change to your previously submitted schedule and to avoid confusion at dismissal it is important to follow these steps:

**If you send in a note, please include the words "Prime Time" in it so the office will forward a copy to me.**

The Holmdel Board of Education does not issue refunds for missed days due to student absences or schedule changes. Credits will be given for emergency school closings, student absences, and schedule changes with a three day written/email notice to lcarducci@holmdelschools.org.

Drop Off/Pick Up

The safety of the students and staff is most important so we ask parents/guardians to adhere to the following procedures:

  • be prepared to show a photo ID every day at p/u as the staff may change day to day
  • AM: walk student all the way inside the building and alert a staff member of their arrival
  • PM: sign student out and include the time of p/u

*Please alert any emergency contacts to the above drop off and pick up procedures.

Village School

Drop off and pick up for AM and PM Prime Time is through Door #29.

A Prime Time staff member will be posted at Door #29 while the program is in session. There is a doorbell at Door #29 if needed.

Prime Time closes promptly at 6pm. Please make alternate arrangements if you are going to be late. 

Call/text Lara Carducci 301-675-8081 if you are going to be late and/or have arranged alternate pick up.

Indian Hill School

Pick up for PM Prime Time is through Door #33. 

Prime Time closes promptly at 6pm. Please make alternate arrangements if you are going to be late.

Emergency Closings

Prime Time is closed when schools are closed due to inclement weather or other emergency.

AM Prime Time will open at 9am when there is a 2-hour delayed opening due to inclement weather or other emergency.

PM Prime Time is closed when there is an early dismissal due to inclement weather or other emergency.

Prime Time Camps

Prime Time Enrichment Camps

3:45pm-4:45pm

The Holmdel Board of Education sponsors fee-based, after school Enrichment Camps to Village School students.

Camps are offered in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Campers will be supervised by Prime Time staff from dismissal to 3:45pm.

 

Safety

 

The physical and emotional safety of the students is our top priority. Whenever appropriate, students will be encouraged to resolve conflicts independently. Prime Time staff will be accessible to support students through this process.

Incidents occurring that adversely affect the safety and well being of students or staff are taken extremely seriously. Depending on the severity of the incident, the following disciplinary actions will be taken:

  • student will be removed from activity and permitted to return when they feel they are ready
  • student will be removed from activity for a short period of time and wait for permission to return
  • student will be removed from activity and parent/guardian will be notified
  • student will be suspended from Prime Time and parent/guardian must meet with Lara Carducci and staff member for reentry into the program (# of days depending on severity of incident)
  • student will not be permitted to attend Prime Time for the remainder of the school year
