Class Meetings

CLASS MEETINGS will be held on Monday, March 19th, at the following times:

Block 2 - Period 1 (8:50 am) - Grades 11 and 12

Block 5 - Period 5 (12:45 pm) - Grades 9 and 10

All students will report to class first and WAIT to be called down via the PA system.

Safe Driving Initiative

The Safe Driving Initiative - Spring Session - will be held on Wednesday, March 21st, @ 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Any student who will earn a driver’s license between March and next October, MUST attend this meeting, with at least one parent. The presentation will last approximately 75 minutes. Please be prompt!

Town-Wide Garage Sale (Sponsored by the PTSO)

On Sunday, April 29th, be part of the first Holmdel Town-Wide Garage Sale. Sell at your home or at the HS Parking Lot or donate items for the PTSO to sell. Registration, information for donation drop off can be found at

Job Opportunity

The Holmdel Recreation Department is accepting applications for the following positions at the Holmdel Swim Club: lifeguards (must be at least 15 years of age and possess current lifeguard certifications) and maintenance workers. The Swim Club season is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Competitive salary and work close to home! Applications are available in the main office or at the Recreation Office in Town Hall. For more information on any of these positions, please contact the Recreation Office at 732-946-2820 ext. 1225. The HHS litmag will be having a workshop this Monday, March 19 right after school in the library conference room! New members are welcome!

There will be an Eco Club meeting on Tuesday, March 20th at 2:15 in room 804. Everyone is welcome to attend!

AIR Club - Adoptees, Immigrants and Refugees

The club will meet after school on Tuesday, March 20th in room 902. New members are welcome.

Art Club

Our club will meet after school in Wednesday ,March 21st the Ceramics room #307. New members are welcome.

Improv Club

The next meeting of the Improv Club will be on Wednesday, March 21. Meet in the back of the school auditorium. New members are always welcome.

Women’s Empowerment Club

The Women’s Empowerment Club will be meeting in Room 147 on Thursday, March 22nd immediately after school. All are welcome!

GSA (Gay Straight Alliance)

The next meeting of the GSA will be on Tuesday, March 27th at 2:15 in room 141. All students are welcome. Please remember that GSA meetings are safe space (all students will be respected).

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament (sponsored by TV and Film Society)

The 4th annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will take place on Wednesday, March 28th at 6:00pm in the High School Gymnasiums. The deadline to enter is approaching fast - Wednesday, March 21st. The tournament is open to three divisions: 5th -6th Grade, 7th-8th Grade, and High School. Register your team today! Check your emails for a registration form, or see Mr. DeNovellis in the TV Studio.

Choral Department

Auditions for the 2018-2019 High School Choruses will take place on Tuesday, April 10th and Friday, April 13th from 2:30 - 4:00 PM in the Chorus Room (Room 302). No prior experience or preparation is necessary to join. Everyone who comes to the auditions WILL be placed into one of the choruses here at Holmdel High School. Calling all aspiring actors, lawyers, and public speakers! The Holmdel High School Mock-Trial Academic Team is recruiting students for next year. They will be a holding an informational meeting on April 12th after school in the auditorium (Note revised date and location). The meeting is open to all students who think they might be interested in becoming part of this team. Come check us out! If you have any questions contact or Hope to see you there!

“Spring Fling” - Freshman & Sophomore Dance

A “Spring Fling” Dance will be held on Friday, April 13th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm in the Holmdel High School Commons. Early bird tickets can be purchased in room 402 or 410 for $5.00. Tickets will also be available at the door for $7.00. The dress code for this event is semi-formal and outside guests will be permitted with a permission slip and current school ID. Hope to see everyone at the dance!

Bridges Club

The Bridges Club is collecting any clothes/shoes that are targeted for the warmer weather (but we will still be collecting long sleeves, pants and light jackets). You can place them in the bin labeled 'Bridges' in front of the main office. Please don't hesitate to contact Megan Hansen ( if you have any questions.

Class of 2018 Lanyard Sale

The class of 2018 is selling customized Holmdel High School lanyards. You can view a sample of the lanyards in the Class of 2018 display case in the Commons. Lanyards are $5.00. See the Senior Class Officers or Ms. Brenner to purchase.

National Honor Society (Volunteer Page Update)

All members (and aspiring members) should check the NHS website for the updated information from Mrs. Brew about volunteer opportunities in town. Please get involved, even if you do not “need” hours. Give back and you get back. It works!
